Bossier falls to No. 4 Evangel

The Bossier Bearkats couldn’t get anything going against the No. 4 Evangel Eagles in a 42-0 loss Friday night at Rodney Duron Field.

Bossier managed just two first downs and 38 total yards.

The Bearkats fell to 1-7 overall and 0-3 in District 1-3A. Evangel improved to 6-1 and 3-0.

Evangel rolled to a 21-0 first-quarter lead and extended it to 35-0 at the half.

Freshman quarterback Connor Curry tossed six touchdown passes. He completed 14 of 25 for 214 yards with one interception.

Chris Hall led Bossier with 40 yards on 18 carries.

Isaiah McKinsey led the defense with six tackles, including two sacks and two for losses.

Jonathan Van Vleet and Jalen Oliver had four apiece.

Chris Williams had a interception.
