From the Bossier Sheriff’s Office:

A firefighter with South Bossier Fire District #2 was shot Monday afternoon when a firefighter from Benton Fire District #4 accidentally discharged his weapon.

These firefighters are in Baton Rouge helping rescue and evacuate residents impacted by the flooding, but now they need our help.

As of Monday night, the firefighter is in stable condition in the hospital, and things are looking up at this point. But please pray that all goes well, and he fully recovers.

Also, pray for the firefighter who accidentally discharged the firearm. Pray this firefighter will be okay as he deals with what happened, as well as lift up their fellow firefighters and us law enforcement officers who work alongside these heroes.

These men have been doing God’s work. Let’s pray that God will work on them.
