Several Bossier public buildings are now illuminated by blue floodlights.

Some of the white lights that normally illuminate the Bossier Parish Courthouse, the Bossier Sheriff’s Criminal Division Building, the Bossier Sheriff’s Viking Drive Substation and the Bossier Sheriff’s Fleet Services Center have been replaced by blue.

Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington said, “We’re doing this to raise awareness and to show solidarity and support for law enforcement agencies here and across the nation during these troubled times. We hope that when residents and visitors are passing by, and these lights catch their eye, they’ll be reminded of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for public safety, and of those who work so hard to maintain it.”
