All that remains to complete a redistricting plan for the Bossier Parish Police Jury
is a little fine-tuning of some district lines.
Jury members met Friday with Mike Hefner, Chief Demographer/GIS Specialist
with Geographic Planning & Demographic Services, to take a look at any proposed
changes in voting districts. Voting districts come under review after each 10-year
census period.
A public hearing will be held prior to a public body presenting an ordinance
adopting district lines. Deadline for adopting a reapportionment plan is July, 2023.
