Bossier Parish Police Jury Honors Charles Varnell for 23 Years of Service

During its regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, the Bossier Parish Police Jury recognized Charles Varnell for 23 years of dedicated service as an appointed board member of the Bossier Parish Communications District 1.

Varnell served as vice chairman from February 2006 to November 2017 before taking on the role of chairman, a position he held until February 2025. Throughout his tenure, he played a key role in improving emergency communications within the parish, contributing to major upgrades and expansions of the Bossier Parish 911 Center. His leadership helped enhance emergency response capabilities and strengthen the efficiency of communication services for residents and first responders.

In recognition of his contributions, the Police Jury dedicated a resolution honoring Varnell for his years of service and commitment to public safety. His efforts have left a lasting impact on the parish, ensuring continued advancements in emergency preparedness and communication infrastructure.
