New Drive-Thru Payment Service Offered
Bossier Parish property tax notices were mailed today, and homeowners can make their payments in a few different manners at four convenient locations, including a new drive-thru service in Benton.
In-person payments can be made at these locations:
- Viking Drive Substation, 2510 Viking Drive in Bossier City, 965-3500.
- Arthur Ray Teague Substation, 3155 Arthur Ray Teague Pky., 549-3317.
- Bossier Parish Courthouse, 204 Burt Blvd., (first floor), 965-3400.
Drive-thru payments can now be made at this location:
- Patrol/Detectives Building, 196 Burt Blvd., 965-3065.
All locations will be open 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except for holidays. You can pay in person with MasterCard, Visa, check or cash. All credit card transactions will incur a five-percent service charge.
To pay online, visit www.bossiersheriff.com and click on the “Pay Property Tax Online” tab at the left-hand side of the screen.
“We are pleased to offer a variety of payment methods, and the drive-thru service at the Patrol Building is an added convenience for our residents to pay their property taxes while on-the-go,” said Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington. “The new drive-thru replaces services previously available at the Benton Substation on Highway 3.”
The deadline to pay property taxes is Dec. 31, and additional charges will be applied for late payments.
Each of the substations will also have barrels where residents can drop off canned goods or non-perishable items for Operation Blessing, the Sheriff’s food bank program that provides a hearty Christmas food box for elderly and needy families.
