Bossier Parish Republican PEC condemns Planned Parenthood

The elected governing body of the Republican Party in Bossier Parish, its Bossier Parish Republican Executive Committee (PEC), released a unanimous resolution Monday denouncing Planned Parenthood.
The announcement came in the wake of the recently revealed barbaric practices of harvesting and selling aborted fetus body parts.

“The videos that have recently surfaced are alarming,” said Bossier RPEC Chairman Richard Ray. “The fact that Planned Parenthood receives $540 million in tax dollars to commit these heinous acts is reprehensible and inexcusable.”

Ray explained the PEC felt it was important to take immediate action to send the message that tax dollars should never be used to fund such a disgusting and inhumane organization. The resolution affirms in part that the PEC “will never endorse nor support any candidate for political office who will not definitively affirm the sanctity of innocent human life, publicly denounce Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry, and commit to use all appropriate means to bring an end to these atrocities.”

“An immediate investigation of all Planned Parenthood affiliates in this state is appropriate and urgently needed,” echoed State Representative Mike Johnson (R-Bossier City), also a member of the PEC. “The abortion industry in Louisiana has a long history of abhorrent and unlawful practices, and we must determine if any laws concerning the sale of human body parts have been broken here in our jurisdiction.”

The Bossier Republican PEC applauds and supports the efforts of Republican U.S. Senators David Vitter, Bill Cassidy and Congressman John Fleming, who are leading the charge in Washington, D.C., to defund Planned Parenthood.

“We, as Republicans and conservatives in Bossier Parish, stand ready to support our elected officials who will oppose the efforts of Planned Parenthood and fight to ensure an end to its taxpayer subsidies,” said Ray.

Ray noted the Bossier Parish Republican Executive Committee is calling upon other PECs in the state, both Republican and Democrat, to denounce and stand against the barbaric practices of Planned Parenthood and support efforts to defund the organization.
