The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office will host the second annual “Kids Shoot for Youth Charities”
on Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Bossier Sheriff’s Youth Shooting Range, 2860 Old Plain Dealing
Road in Plain Dealing.
Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, the annual youth sporting clay competition
will once again bring together young shooters for a day of competition while raising support for
organizations dedicated to improving the lives of children.
Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit six organizations focused on children’s health, safety
and well-being:
- St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
- March of Dimes
- Shriners Children’s Hospital
- The Gingerbread House Children’s Advocacy Center
- Easterseals
- Ronald McDonald House Charities
Sheriff Julian Whittington said, “We are proud to bring this event back for a second year and
continue building on what we started last year. It gives young people an opportunity to enjoy the
shooting sports while also coming together for an important cause and helping support
organizations that make a difference in the lives of children.”
The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office looks forward to welcoming participants and supporters for
another successful event and continuing this annual tradition of giving back to organizations that
serve children and families.
