The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce the
success of the second annual Kids Shoot for Youth Charities, held Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, at the
Bossier Sheriff’s Youth Shooting Range. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, participants and
volunteers, the event raised more than $70,000 to benefit organizations serving children and
families.
Proceeds will be distributed among Easterseals, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the
March of Dimes, The Gingerbread House, Shriners Children’s and the Ronald McDonald House,
which joins the event as a beneficiary this year. These organizations provide essential services,
resources and support to children and families facing a variety of challenges.
The event brought participants together for a day of friendly competition, sportsmanship and
fellowship, with a shared goal of supporting organizations that make a difference in the lives of
children. The continued success of the event reflects the generosity and commitment of the
community.
Sheriff Julian Whittington thanked those who helped make the event possible.
“This event is a great example of what our community can accomplish when we come together
for a common purpose,” Whittington said. “We appreciate everyone who contributed their time,
resources and support. Their generosity will help these organizations continue providing
important services to children and families who need them.”
The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office extends its appreciation to the sponsors, participants and
volunteers whose support made the event possible. Their contributions will help the participating
organizations continue their missions of serving children and families.
