Bossier Schools to reopen Thursday

All Bossier Parish schools and centers will reopen Thursday as normally scheduled.
Our School Resource Officers and Transportation Department employees have been actively patrolling the parish and report that rural roadways are clear and passable. With no further precipitation in the forecast, buses will run at their regular times tomorrow morning.
We are working closely with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development and Bossier Parish Police Jury to ensure bridges and overpasses are being sanded/salted in preparation for Thursday. Contingency plans are in place for roads and bridges that could pose problems in the morning hours. In the event that a roadway remains closed, buses will be re-routed to pick up students. As an added precaution, Bossier Schools’ Transportation Department will place mechanics and spare buses at various locations in the early morning hours throughout the parish in case of mechanical problems.
Bossier Schools appreciates your patience following the two-day closure and our efforts to return students back to class.
