Bossier Schools to remain closed March 10

Due to the increased flooding and displacement of families due to evacuations, as well as road closures and wash-outs, all Bossier Schools and centers will remain CLOSED Thursday, March 10.

The Bossier School district is working closely with emergency responders, utilizing several school buses for evacuation efforts and two schools as staging sites for law enforcement. These schools include Cope Middle and W.T. Lewis Elementary, with the possibility of Elm Grove Elementary being used for staging efforts as well.

Our thoughts go out to the students and employees whose homes are being affected by flood waters. We encourage everyone to stay off the roads and inside if possible where it is safe.
