Greenacres Middle School

Greenacres’ Veterans Day Assembly is sponsored by the school’s Student Council. Retired USAF Colonel Tom Daniel, Chief Academic Officer for Bossier Schools and former Assistant Principal at GMS, will be the guest speaker.
Stockwell Place Elementary

Stockwell will hold its annual program to honor the school’s military families at 1:30 Friday, November 8, in the school gymnasium.
Central Park Elementary

A Veterans Day Memorial will be held at Central Park at 9:30 a.m. Friday, November 8. This year’s presentation focuses on the Tuskegee Airmen. Central Park chose to honor these great heroes because of their dedication to rise above the odds against them.
Parkway High School Veterans Day Tattoo

Place: Parkway High School Gymnasium
Each year, Parkway’s ROTC presents a most impressive Tattoo Ceremony. This year’s theme is “Honoring Those Who Served.” The ceremony features a re-presentation of the Air Force Cross to Colonel George Finck, as well as performances from Drill, Drum Corps and the Dance Line. There will also be a choral selection, Service Medley, viewing of a live bald eagle and more.
Princeton Elementary

Princeton puts on a notable Veterans Day program. Major Richard Milton is this year’s guest speaker. He is an 04-Major in the U.S. Air Force. A reception will follow in the cafeteria.
Cope Middle School

Time: 1:50 p.m.
Place: Gymnasium
Cope Middle School’s annual Veterans Day Program will be at 1:50 p.m. All military parents and family members are invited to attend. The school’s bands and choirs will perform. Students will also be reading patriotic essays and military students will be recognized. This year, members of Cope’s newly formed Military Club will share what their organization is about and host all military guests at a reception in the library following the assembly.
