The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on Friday, June 19, at an
undisclosed location within Bossier Parish. The checkpoint will begin at 7:00 p.m. and continue
into the early morning hours.
The purpose of the checkpoint is to enhance roadway safety by identifying impaired drivers and
preventing impaired-driving crashes before they occur. These enforcement efforts are designed
to reduce injuries and fatalities while encouraging responsible driving throughout our
community.
The checkpoint is funded through a grant provided by the Louisiana Highway Safety
Commission in support of ongoing impaired-driving enforcement initiatives and the national
“Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign.
The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office reminds motorists to always designate a sober driver, use a
rideshare service, or make other transportation arrangements if alcohol or impairing substances
are involved.
