Bossier Sheriff’s Office to join with LifeShare Blood Centers for “Cuffs & Hoses” blood drive

From the Bossier Sheriff’s Office:

The Bossier Sheriff’s Office is joining with LifeShare Blood Centers once again to host a “Cuffs & Hoses” promotion blood drive on Wednesday, May 25, at the Viking Drive Substation at 2510 Viking Drive in Bossier City.

The drive will be held from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the mobile donor coach in the substation parking lot. Law enforcement officers and fire fighters are encouraged to donate blood, and each donor will be given a special promotional t-shirt. All others are also welcome to give blood, and all participants will receive the complimentary t-shirt.

“We can’t stress enough the importance of blood drives,” said Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington. “I encourage all of our deputies, staff, other law enforcement agencies and fire departments to join us on May 25 to give blood that can be used to help another person or even save their life.”

Donors should be 16 years or older, in good health and meet height, weight and donor eligibility requirements. Be sure and have a good meal and increase fluids before you donate.
