A 14-year old girl has been arrested and charged with terrorizing. Ā She set up a fake Instagram account in which she made serious threats.

In the fake account, she used a fictitious name that included the word, ā€œclown,ā€ in keeping with a current fashion involving the depiction of depraved, vicious clowns.

Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington said, ā€œSadly, this is not an isolated incident in our area. It’s a worldwide fashion trend that can lead to illegal behavior if it leads to threats. Ā Sorry to say, it’s catching on here. I want everyone to understand that what you do on a social media platform is not private, it is very public. If it’s illegal, we will find you. It’s our duty. We’re very serious about this.

ā€œI need parents to have a serious conversation with their children about anything they post on social media,ā€ he said. ā€œThis is not child’s play, and we must take it very seriously. As we have all seen, threats by schoolchildren are not kid stuff anymore.ā€

  1. Maybe eventually kids will stop and parents need to be more involved and monitor what their children are doing that’s why my children didn’t have cell phones until they were 16 plus and then it was only when they went to work and then they were back in my possession when they came home
