Bossier woman arrested for stabbing her sister


Bossier City police have arrested a woman for stabbing her sister while the two were engaged in a physical altercation Tuesday at their home.

Detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit arrested Ashlynn Danielle Cargill, 18, of Bossier City on a charge of aggravated second degree battery after police were contacted about a stabbing that occurred at a home in the 3000 block of Shiloh Lane Tuesday afternoon.

Cargill is charged with stabbing her sister, Alexandra Cargill, age 20, with a kitchen knife.     The victim was taken to Willis Knighton Bossier by a friend via private vehicle. Her wound is considered to be non-life threatening. Officers were notified of the stabbing by hospital staff after the victim arrived at the emergency room.

Cargill had left the crime scene before officers arrived but she was located later a short time later and placed under arrest. She was booked into the Bossier City Jail and later transferred to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility.
