Bowling: Airline, Parkway, Haughton boys and girls teams win

The Airline, Parkway and Haughton boys and girls teams picked up bowling victories Thursday at Holiday Lanes.

In boys games, Airline dropped Minden 26-1, Parkway defeated Loyola 22-5 and Haughton downed Bossier 25-2. Also, Benton fell to Byrd 20-7.

In girls games, Airline downed Bossier 23-8, Parkway knocked off Loyola 26-1 and Haughton defeated Benton 24-3.

Parkway’s Chandler Sumter had the high series of the day among parish boys teams with a three-game 583. He also had the high game at 246. Teammates Alex Davis and Destin Meza had high games of 246 and 226, respectively.

Airlline was led by Courtland Carey with a high series of 511. Carey and Jaylon Ellison had 212 high games and Austin Floyd bowled a 180.

Zack Gardner led Haughton with a 514 high series and a 200 high game. Austin Pilcher had a 171 high game and Christian Silba had a 154.

Austin Sepeda’s 506 series topped Benton bowlers. Kyle Barlass had a high game of 156 and Zachary Fussell a 133.

Chris Huckaby led Bossier with a 419 high series and a 145 high game. Eric Clark bowled a 117. Kenyan Lee and Nick Thomas each bowled 114.

Parkway’s Nicole Taylor led all girls bowlers with a 542 high series. She was the only girl to bowl over 200 with a high of 227. Teammate Ashly Gardner had a 164 high game and Ashley Shea a 157.

Courtney Riede topped Airline with a 391 series. Shelby English had the Lady Vikings’ best game with a 162. Riede bowled a 149 and Bailey Russell a 127.

Taylor Harlow’s 391 high series led Haughton bowlers. Amber Simmons had the Lady Bucs’ high game at 157. Lorisa Raney bowled a 156 and Jessica Dowden a 137.

Jordan Lawrence led Benton with a 351 high series and a 145 high game. Melissa Guin bowled a 127 and Kelsi Coker a 107.

Tizzie Rags’ 431 high series led Bossier bowlers. She also had the team’s high game at 158. Sierra Parks bowled a 125 and Megan Taylor a 98.
