The Bossier Parish middle school boys basketball jamboree tips off Thursday at Elm Grove.
Each “game” will consist of two six-minute halves. Both the boys’ and girls’ gyms will be used.
The jamboree starts at 4:30. Rusheon faces Cope in seventh- and eighth-grade games in the boys’ gym. Elm Grove plays Benton in the girls’ gym.
Here is the remainder of the schedule: Rusheon vs. Green acres (boys’ gym), Haughton vs. Benton (girls’ gym), 5:30; Elm Grove vs. Greenacres (boys’ gym); Haughton vs. Cope (girls’ gym), 6:30.
Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children.
The district season starts Monday with 6 games. Benton hosts Cope, Greenacres hosts Rusheon and Elm Grove hosts Haughton.
Cope swept the seventh- and eighth-grade district titles last season with a combined 19-1 record.
