BPCC men win home opener

The Bossier Parish Community College Cavaliers defeated the Shreveport Mad Ants 126-64 in their home opener Tuesday night.

Deunzay Wyatt, a freshman guard out of Monroe Richwood, led the Cavs with 18 points. All 13 BPCC players scored.

Greg Pollins had 17 points, Kyle Gilbert 16 and Ryan Coleman 14. Nathaniel Tigner led the North Louisiana Express with 36 points.

BPCC was originally scheduled to play Open Bible College, but the school has dropped its basketball program.

BPCC (1-1) faces Arkansas Baptist at 4 p.m. Friday and Coahoma Community College at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Southern University-Shreveport Classic.
