The BPCC Concert Winds will present its Fall Pops Concert at 7:30 pm on Friday, September 26 in the Performing Arts Theatre on the BPCC campus, 6220 E. Texas St., Bossier City, LA.
The Concert Winds, under the direction of Dr. Michael D. Hart, will perform popular selections including, āAmericans Weā by Henry Fillmore; āA Copland Tributeā arranged by Clare Grundman; āTritsch-Tratsh Polkaā by Johann Strauss; a medley of spooky tunes entitled āHouse of Horrorsā; and āThe Sound of Musicā arranged by Robert Russell Bennett.
This marks the fourth year in which the BPCC Music Program has presented a Pops Concert. The BPCC Concert Choir is scheduled to present their Pops Concert in the spring 2015 term.
Many of the students enrolled in the ensembles are full-tuition music scholarship recipients. Music scholarships are awarded to students who pass an audition, maintain a 2.0 GPA, and are full-time BPCC students. Auditions for BPCC music scholarships are held periodically throughout the year.
