BPCC sets enrollment record for sixth year in a row

Bossier Parish Community College’s fall 2014 enrollment reached 8,695 students, marking the sixth consecutive year of record enrollment for the College. Beginning in 2009, BPCC has grown by more than 86%.

“Enrollment growth is a great indication that students find value in the product a college offers,” says Chancellor Jim Henderson. “As we continue to provide students the soundest foundation upon which to build their careers or further their education, our enrollment will continue to grow.”

Based on 14th class day credit enrollment figures, BPCC’s enrollment increased 183 students from fall 2013.

Henderson adds, “Even more exciting: our growth in the number of graduates outpaces the 86% growth in enrollment over the past five years. Each record enrollment in the fall has led to an academic year of record degree and certificate completions. Last year’s number of graduates surpassed 2008-09 by 96%.”

Bossier Parish Community College also continues to rank among the top five fastest growing community colleges in the nation in its category. BPCC is the only college of any size to place in the top five for three consecutive years.
