BPCC softball standout Anna Dies, former Haughton star, signs with Arkansas-Monticello

Bossier Parish Community College softball standout Anna Dies, a former Haughton star, signed with Arkansas-Monticello on Friday during a ceremony at BPCC.

Dies, a pitcher and outfielder, was the MVP on The Press-Tribune’s All-Parish team in 2014 and 2015.

She was named to the Region IV All-Conference team at outfielder and the NJCAA Division I All-Star Team last season as a freshman. Dies hit .367 with five home runs, 45 RBI, 14 doubles and five triples.

She had a career batting average of .447 at Haughton, setting the single-season record for home runs as a junior with 12.

Dies is the daughter of Thomas Dies Jr. Her grandparents are Thomas and Anna Dies.
