Bossier Parish Community College will hold its summer graduation ceremony at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 in the Health & Physical Education Complex on the BPCC campus at 6220 E. Texas St., Bossier City, LA.
Credentials will be awarded to 152 graduates Wednesday, making the number of students graduating this summer an increase from summer 2012. Last summer, 138 graduates were awarded credentials.
Students will be awarded associate degrees, technical diplomas, certificates, and technical competency areas in each of BPCC’s six academic divisions: Behavioral-Social Sciences and College Transition Programs; Business; Communication and Performing Arts; Liberal Arts; Science, Nursing, and Allied Health; and Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
“Each of these graduates is now prepared for success in the workforce or at the next level of education,” says BPCC Chancellor Jim Henderson. “As a result, the future quality of life in our community looks brighter, and the competitive advantage our employers enjoy in the form of developed talent has never been stronger.”
Guest speaker for the sixty-fourth commencement ceremony is BPCC Staff Senate President Jerona Washington.
