In just its second year as a program, the BPCC women’s basketball team has become a forced to be reckoned with in NJCAA Division I Region XIV.
The Lady Cavs won their 16th game of the season Wednesday, defeating Panola Junior College 84-72 at BPCC.
BPCC improved to 16-8 overall and 9-5 in Region XIV. The Lady Cavs entered the day in fourth place in Region XIV, just one game out of third. Panola dropped to 10-12 and 3-10.
Crystal Jones led BPCC with 20 points. La’Dencia Johnson added 16.
BPCC returns to action Saturday against Tyler JC at 2 p.m. in Tyler, Texas.
