BPCC women win, men fall

The Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavs raised their record to 6-2 with a 79-68 victory over LSU-Eunice Wednesday night at BPCC.

Former Airline standout I’mUnique Bryant led the Lady Cavs with 15 points. Diamond Willis added 13 and Desiree Lyons chipped in with 12.

BPCC led 45-32 and maintained a double-digit lead through the second half.

In the second half of the home doubleheader, the BPCC men fell to 2-3 with an 84-59 loss to McClennan Community College.

Antwine Baker led the Cavs with 21 points, including six 3-pointers. Kyle Gilbert sank four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points.

The game was tight early in the second half, but the Cavs had trouble scoring inside and McClennan steadily pulled away.

The Lady Cavs travel to Brenham, Texas, Saturday for a game against Blinn College.

The Cavaliers host the Northwestern State junior varsity tonight at 7.
