The BPCC Jazz Ensemble will present its Fall concert at 7:30 pm on Thursday, November 19 in the Performing Arts Theatre (Building C) on the BPCC campus, 6220 E Texas St., Bossier City, LA. The concert is free and open to the public.
The concert will include a variety of jazz related styles including swing, blues, ballads, and jazz standards. Their performance will include “Knock on Wood”, sung by BPCC music major La Faith Williams; “At Last” performed by Michelle Moline, also a music major; “Pick Up The Pieces”; “Alright, Okay, You Win”; “Honk!”; “Fly Me To The Moon”; and “Soulful Strut” featuring Matt Harris on piano.
“The BPCC Jazz Ensemble is composed of both music majors and non-music majors” said Dr. Hart, the ensemble’s director. Many students in the ensemble have earned a full-tuition music scholarship.
