DARElogo1Eight Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies graduated from D.A.R.E. Officer Training last Friday in Baton Rouge, La. The intense two-week school taught these deputies how to manage a classroom environment. These deputies also learned how to educate our young people about the dangers of drugs, alcohol and bullying as well as life skills and how to make good decisions. These deputies will also be assigned as School Resource Officers.

Deputies with the Bossier Sheriff’s Office brought home four out of the seven awards that were given during the graduation ceremonies. Most Outstading Team Member was awarded to Deputy Skip Orgeron, Deputy Rebecca Preibus and Deputy Daryl Brown. Awarded the Most Outstanding Spirit Award went to Deputy Ralph Montgomery.
