Busy summer gives way to busy fall

It has been a busy and exciting summer for Bossier Parish Libraries, but we cannot slow down now because there is much to do as we finalize plans for our fall programs and events.        

Aulds Library located in south Bossier has a full schedule this month.  They have planned something special for all ages.

  • Saturday, August 9 at 2:30p.m., and Tuesday, August 12 at 3:30p.m. Amanda Bradley is hosting Movie Day.
  • August 19 at 11:00a.m. join the Aulds Book Club to discuss “The Pecan Man” by Cassie Dandridge Selleck.
  • August 19 from 5:00—6:30p.m., the library will participate in Spirit of South Bossier at Parkway High School.
  • On August 26 at 3:30p.m., you are invited to Movie Day.
  • August 30 at 1:00p.m., author Demetria Buie will be on hand to talk about her book “Refuse to Lose” and her writing process.

August 19 at 3:30p.m., there will be a book review on “The Pecan Man” by Cassie Dandridge Selleck provided by the BPL Outreach Department for residents at Glenview Gardens.

Thursday, August 21 from 6:00—7:00p.m. the Bossier Central Library Book Club will meet to discuss “The Time Traveler’s Wife” by Audrey Niffenegger.
