CHRISTUS Health Shreveport-Bossier is once again calling all “miracle babies,” who have overcome the odds of prematurity and developmental problems in the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for the annual NICU Reunion.
The event will be Sunday, July 17 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the West Wing lobby located on the CHRISTUS Highland Medical Center (1453 E. Bert Kouns, Shreveport). This will be the 38th annual reunion for the nurses, physicians, parents and patients.
Ranging from a few months to their mid-twenties, the NICU alumni and their families will reunite with the nurses, doctors and other clinical staff who helped them survive prematurity, developmental difficulties and critical illness at birth. Families meet with fellow parents, reunite with hospital staff, scour scrapbooks and play carnival games.
The reunion will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the West Wing Lobby, located at CHRISTUS Highland Medical Center – 1453 E. Bert Kouns, Shreveport. All NICU graduates are invited to attend. For easy access, attendees are asked to use the West Wing lobby entrance located just past the emergency room entrance.
