Members of the Bossier Sheriff’s Office Corrections Emergency Response Team (CERT) left Thursday for four days of mock prison riot training and competition Apr 30- May 6 at the decommissioned West Virginia Penitentiary in Moundsville, W.Va.
The 11-person team, comprising Lt. Brad Anderson and Sgt. Joey Bowen (CERT Commander), and deputies Brandon Alsabrook, Robert Thompson, Michele Jester, J.D. Hadden, Chase Hesson, Scott Nelson, Cody Callicoatte, Michael Skinner, and Joshua Hendrix, will compete against teams from all over the world.
The event will include hostage situations, riots, an officer-down scenario, an obstacle course and shooting.
