The Bossier Chamber of Commerce is preparing to host the largest networking event of the year with its 66th Annual Meeting and Gala Jan. 28 at the CenturyLink Center.
The Gala begins at 7 pm, and a VIP Chairman’s Reception will be held at 6pm for top sponsors. This year’s event is taking a new turn.
The Chamber is announcing the 2014 theme titled “Opening Doors to New Opportunities”, which was selected to celebrate the Bossier Chamber’s success and highlight the vision of the coming 2014 year.
Jason Smith, 2013 Chairman of the Board, will pass the reigns to the incoming Chairman, Chancellor Jim Henderson. The outgoing and incoming Board of Directors will be recognized, and guests will receive the 2013 Annual Report and Program of Work.
In addition to a year in review and looking forward to 2014, the Bossier Chamber will recognize the Business Person of the Year and Business of the Year.
Each year, the Chamber recognizes the business community and those that excelled in areas of leadership, growth and involvement. The honor of Business and Business Person of the Year is reserved for those that are dedicated not only to their company, but to making an impact here in their own backyard. Awards will also be given for New Member of the Year, Media Partner of the Year, Military Relations Supporter of the Year, Diplomat of the Year and more.
Nominations can be submitted through www.bossierchamber.com and must be received by Jan. 10, 2014. To be considered, nominees must be members of the Bossier Chamber of Commerce
