Charity Rankin

HAUGHTON – A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Charity Rankin, 39, at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 14, 2013, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home. Pastor Darrell Cooper of First Baptist Princeton and Pastor Andy Harris of Central Assembly of God will officiate. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive guests on Friday evening between the hours of 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Charity was born on September 3, 1974, in Bossier City, LA and passed away on December 9, 2013. She was a 1993 graduate of Haughton High School, a member of Belle Park Baptist Church, and enjoyed poetry and art. If you knew Charity, you loved her!

Charity was preceded in death by her grandfather, Prewitt T. Rankin; brother, Todd Rankin; uncle, George P. Rankin, Sr.; cousin, Rose Rankin; grandfather, Rodney N. Irby Jr.; uncle, Sonny Irby; and aunt, Rosie Elliott. She is survived by her father, J.T. Rankin; grandmother, Gertie Rankin; cousin, George P. Rankin Jr. and wife Melissa; nephew, Mason Rankin and his mother Cheryl; aunt, Ann Rankin-St. Clair; The Sheffield Family; uncles, David Irby and wife Debbie, Chad Irby, and Will Elliott; aunts, Mary Rabalais and husband Rab, Sudie Landry and husband Merlin, and Pam Rochester; and uncle, Donnie Irby and wife Jerrie.

Pallbearers will be Russell Bray, Trey Hicks, Roy Hicks, Jerry Markham, Gary Vining, and Johnny Shefield. Honorary pallbearers are James Wood, Bobby Fondren, James Wells, and Don Wells.

The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the ICU Unit Staff of Willis Knighton Bossier for all of their compassion and care.

In honor of Charity, the family requests that casual attire (LSU) be worn the day of the service.
