Charles “Chuck” Harner

HAUGHTON – Celebration of life service for Charles Harner will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. Rev. Billy Pierce will be officiating the service. Interment will follow with military honors at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home.

Chuck was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church, Optimist Club, and the VFW. He enjoyed gardening, reading and he was an avid sports fan, especially LSU.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Ester Harner.

He is survived by his children, Charles A. Harner, Jr. of Kaufman, TX, Lynn and Danny Milner of Shreveport, LA, Randy and Lesha Harner of Haughton, LA; brothers, Al and Marlene Harner, James and Bonnie Harner, Ron Harner and Clint Harris; grandchildren, Tommy Harris, Tara and Stuart Burch, Cody Milner, and Mattie Milner; one great grandbaby, Madyson Rose Burch, the apple of his eye, and also a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Harner, Lenny Harner, Mark Harner, Stephen Harner, Brian Harner and Jeff Morris.

Memorials may be made in Chuck’s honor to the American Heart Association or charity of their choice .

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Renee Morris for the loving care she gave to him. They would also like to thank the staff at Willis Knighton Bossier and SICU at University Health.
