Bossier City welcomed a new addition to its growing business community Wednesday, Oct. 28, as local officials, business leaders and Chick-fil-A representatives gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the restaurant’s newest location at 2968 E. Texas Ave.
Bossier City Mayor Tommy Chandler, members of the Bossier City Council, representatives of the Bossier Chamber of Commerce and community leaders joined restaurant owner-operator Stephanie Hoover and other Chick-fil-A officials for the celebration.
The new restaurant is scheduled to officially open to customers Thursday, Oct. 29, at 6 a.m., bringing more than 100 jobs to the Bossier City community.
Hoover, who was selected by Chick-fil-A Inc. to operate the restaurant, brings 19 years of experience with the company. She began her career as a team member while attending high school and continued working for Chick-fil-A after college. She later participated in the company’s Leadership Development Program, gaining experience that helped prepare her to become an owner-operator.
“Bossier City is a community that reflects the values of hard work, dedication and service, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to make it home,” Hoover said in a company announcement. “My hope is to create a restaurant where care is at the heart of everything we do, from how we serve our Guests and support our Team Members to how we show up for our neighbors beyond the walls of the restaurant.”
As part of the grand opening celebration, Chick-fil-A Inc. announced a $25,000 donation to the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana to support local hunger relief efforts.
The new restaurant also plans to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofit organizations to help address food insecurity.
To celebrate opening day, the restaurant will host a special “Moove-In Party” on Thursday. Customers who visit wearing cow-themed clothing or accessories will be eligible to receive a free entree or children’s meal, subject to promotional conditions.
The restaurant will offer dine-in, drive-thru, carryout, delivery and catering services, along with the company’s Mobile Thru ordering option.
Regular operating hours will be 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Like other Chick-fil-A locations, the restaurant will be closed Sundays.
The new East Texas Avenue location expands Chick-fil-A’s presence in Bossier City, joining the existing restaurant at 2601 Beene Blvd. near Airline Drive and Interstate 220.
Wednesday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony highlighted the continued addition of businesses and employment opportunities in Bossier City while welcoming Hoover and her team to the local business community.
