UPDATE: The child that was killed in a shooting over the weekend has been identified as Reese Williams Jr. He was the son of the adult shooting victim Reese Wayne Williams and the female resident Nicorya T. Chisley. The original news release is below:
Bossier City Police are investigating a weekend shooting that left a five-year-old dead.
Officers responded to 5303 E. Texas St. at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Sunday morning after receiving calls about multiple gunshots. Upon arrival officers found two male subjects outside the residence with multiple gunshot wounds. Bossier City Fire Department personnel transported both victims to University Health in Shreveport.
The juvenile’s name is being withheld until family is notified. The other victim was identified as Reese Williams, age 29. Williams is in critical condition at University Health.
Detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit have arrested Keuntrel Knight, age 20, for one count of second degree murder and one count of attempted second degree murder in connection with the shooting. Detectives say the shooting happened during a domestic dispute.
