A man convicted of rape has been sentenced to life in prison.
Marion Dale Jones was found guilty of Aggravated Rape by a Bossier Parish jury on October 23.
After an investigation by former Bossier City detective, Kelly Cubley, Jones was arrested for the Aggravated Rape of an 11-year-old girl.
A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and remand was set for December 30. Judge John Robinson sentenced Jones to life in prison.
“Thanks to the hard work of the Bossier City Police Department, we were able to get another child rapist off of our streets. First Assistant Lane Pittard did an outstanding job prosecuting this case,” District Attorney Schuyler Marvin said.
