Cyber Innovation Center (CIC), the leader in building a
knowledge-based workforce for north Louisiana, has named Ryan Smith as its new vice
president.
CIC delivers cutting-edge solutions in cybersecurity education and technology transfer
and transition efforts for the Air Force. The addition of Smith to the leadership team
reinforces the CIC’s commitment to pioneering advancements that help its partners
navigate complex challenges and optimize operations.
“Ryan is a proven leader known for transforming organizations through innovation,
helping them achieve new levels of performance,” said CIC President Kevin Nolten. “His
quantifiable successes in efficiency, data visualization, business intelligence, and supply
chain management will add tremendous value to the CIC’s capabilities.”
Smith will play a pivotal role to the operational success of the CIC by providing strategic
oversight of key operations such as contracting, marketing, and business development
while supervising business units to ensure alignment with CIC’s mission.
Smith brings his extensive experience in innovation and a strong track record of driving
transformative solutions to the CIC. He most recently acted as assistant vice president
of clinic operations for Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport where he worked with diverse
teams in process improvement, promoted efficiency in business operations, and
developed solutions for improved outcomes.
“I am excited to leverage my experience in innovation to help the CIC grow its
partnerships and ability to create the next generation workforce,” Ryan said. “I know the
CIC has a track record of success in cybersecurity and defense, and I am focused on
adding to that by increasing our efficiency and identifying areas for strategic growth.”

reputation for creating solutions to expand the knowledge-based workforce that can
