HAUGHTON – Services for Claudia H. Canterbury, 89, will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Rose-Neath’s Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Brent Shoalmire of Open Door Bible Church. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2013 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City.
Claudia was born February 2, 1924 in Haughton, LA to Claude and Eva Nix Stewart and died September 3, 2013 in Bossier City. She was a member of First Baptist Haughton and a homemaker.
Her parents; husband, Trenton Lloyd Canterbury, Sr.; daughter, Virginia Gayle Wynn and brother Otis Martin Stewart preceded Claudia in death.
She is survived by her children, Bertie Rose Lance, Ann Dowden, Trenton Lloyd Canterbury, Jr., Claudia Alayne Bertrand, Sandra Sue Hook, Cheryl June Johnson, Tammy Christine Martwick, Charles Stewart Canterbury, Shawn Annette Kieth, Kimberly Ann Berry, Kevin Lee Canterbury and Timothy Shane Canterbury; 25 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Honoring Claudia as pallbearers will be Darryl Lance Dowden, Trenton Noel Canterbury, Travis Neil Canterbury, William Brock Wynn, Wyeth Dave Wynn (Beau) and James Matthew Hook. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Wayne Martwick, Baylin Adam Berry, Coyle Avery Berry, Brent Dewayne Martwick, Jerrod Jessup and Daniel Malone.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
