The Bossier Parish Community College Cavaliers fell to the Panola Ponies 8-3 in a Region XIV game Tuesday afternoon at BPCC.
The game made up the second half of a doubleheader that was rained out on Feb. 22. The Cavaliers (11-4-1, 4-2) won the first game 7-3.
BPCC led 1-0 after two innings. But Panola (7-8, 4-2) put five on the board in the top of the third to take the lead for good.
The Cavaliers had nine hits to 12 for Panola.
BPCC’s Alejandro Cazorla went 2-for-4. Coke Ketzner went 2-for-5.
Gavin Baird had two RBI. Connor Crowson had a double.
The Cavs used five pitchers. Starter Sean Gurr went three innings, allowing seven hits and five earned runs.
BPCC returns to action Saturday with a 1 p.m. doubleheader against Paris Junior College at BPCC.
