The Bossier Parish Community College Cavaliers defeated Mountain View 17-8 in a non-conference game Monday at BPCC.
The Cavs pounded out 15 hits, including four home runs. Stephen Zayas went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI. Luis Santiago also had three hits, including a solo home run.
Austin Stegall went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Joseph Tassin had two hits and two RBI.
Dakota Wright smacked a three-run homer in a five-run sixth inning. Cole Frost had a hit, two RBI and also walked three times. Willie Ward had an RBI double.
BPCC played three close games in a Region XIV series against Navarro College last weekend in Corsicana, Texas. The Cavs were swept 7-6 and 11-9 on Saturday and won 6-5 on Sunday.
Ward, Wright, Frost and Adam Thompson had two hits apiece Sunday. Starter Cody Navarro allowed just three hits and one earned run in six innings.
Former Haughton standout Sam Wallace was one of three Cavs to hit home runs in the 11-9 loss. He also had another hit and four RBI.
Kyle Koch went 3-for-5 with a home run, double and two RBI. Frost had two hits, including a solo home run. Ward also had two hits.
Stegall hit two home runs and had three RBI in the 7-6 loss. Ward and Thompson had two hits each. Frost tripled.
Starter Tanner Johnson allowed five hits and struck out six in 5 1/3 innings.
BPCC (14-18, 3-9) faces Northeast Texas Community College in a three-game Region XIV series starting Thursday in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. The teams play a doubleheader at BPCC on Saturday at 3 p.m.
