The Bossier Parish Community College Cavaliers split a doubleheader against Tyler Junior College Wednesday at BPCC..
BPCC won the first game 12-2 in five innings and lost the second 11-4.
The Cavaliers are 17-7-1 overall and 9-5 in Region XIV. Tyler is 18-11 and 8-6.
BPCC had 14 hits in the first game.
Cole Ketzner went 4-for-4 with a home run and six RBI.
Alejandro Cazorla also went 4-for-4. He had a double and three RBI.
Collin Young went 2-for-3 with a double. Connor Crowson and Justin Breen had one double each.
Seth Gurr went the distance for the win.
BPCC took a 4-3 lead into the eighth inning of the second game. But Tyler exploded for eight runs in the top of the inning.
The Apaches had four hits in the frame, including a triple and double. They took advantage of two hit-by-pitches and three walks.
BPCC’s Gavin Baird went 2-for-2. Cazorla was 2-for-4. Ayden Makarus hit a solo home run.
The Cavaliers return to action Saturday with a 1 p.m. doubleheader at Panola College.
