Desiree Lyons sank two free throws with 12 seconds left to lift the Bossier Parish Community College Lady Cavs to a season-opening 67-66 victory over Arkansas Baptist on Saturday in the Lady Bears Classic at Baton Rouge Community College.
Former Byrd standout led the Lady Cavs in scoring with 17 points. She also had six assists.
Sara Housley, a former Stanley High standouts, had 13 points and 12 points. Lyons, a West Monroe product, also had 13 points.
Samarius Colquitt added 10 points.
