College basketball: Ex-Bossier star Robinson headed to UNO

Former Bossier High standout guard Larry Robinson III is continuing his basketball career at the University of New Orleans.

“I thank God for this opportunity and I appreciate the people that’s been with me on this journey,” Robinson wrote in a Facebook post.

After helping Bossier win the 2016 Class 4A state championship, Robinson played for one season at Panola College. He transferred to Southern University Shreveport for his sophomore year.

He averaged 21 points, five rebounds and five assists at SUSLA.

Robinson was named the MVP on the 2016 All-Parish team. He averaged 14.4 points, four rebounds and three assists.
New Orleans went 16-17 overall last season and 11-7 in the Southland Conference.

Robinson has two years of eligibility left.
