Sarah Koeppen tossed a five-inning, two-hit shutout as the Benton Lady Tigers defeated Captain Shreve 14-0 in a non-district game Monday at Captain Shreve.
Koeppen also went 2-for-3 with a double.
Hallie Saintignan led Benton (4-2) at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a triple, double and two RBI. Taylor Jones had two doubles and four RBI.
Anna Claire Kratzer went 2-for-4 with a double. Macey Bridges also had two hits.
Savanna Erickson and Olivia Oliphint also had doubles.
Benton returns to action Thursday with a home game against Ruston.
In District 1-5A games Tuesday, Airline (4-1, 1-0) hosts Haughton (2-4, 0-0) and Parkway (5-0, 1-0) hosts Shreve.
