College softball: BPCC’s Aholeilei pitches perfect game in sweep of Kilgore College


Bossier Parish Community College’s Primrose Aholelei pitched a five-inning perfect game in a 12-0 victory over Kilgore College in the first game of doubleheader Monday in Kilgore, Texas.

The Lady Cavs (38-10, 20-2 Region XIV) won the second game 13-4. Kilgore dropped to 6-35-1 overall and 3-17 in the conference.

Aholelei struck out five in the first game. She struck out two in four innings in the second game, giving her 301 strikeouts on the season.

Aholelei also went 2-for-3 in the first game. Delaini Daughenbaugh went 2-for-3.

Kennedy Cox hit a two-run home run in the top of the fifth to give the Lady Cavs the 12-0 lead.

Dyllan had a bases-loaded double earlier in the five-run inning,

Cox finished with three RBI. Haylee Ladner and Nicolette Blenker had two each.

Ladner went 3-for-4 with a double in the second game. 

Sanay had two hits, including a home run, and two RBI. Cox had two hits and two RBI.

Blenker hit a two-run home run. Daughenbaugh had three RBI.

BPCC is scheduled to play a home doubleheader against Paris Junior College at 1 p.m. Wednesday. 

The Lady Cavs are scheduled to close the regular season Friday with a non-conference home doubleheader against LSU Eunice starting at 4.
