The Bossier Sheriff’s Office has picked up hundreds of quart-sized bottles of Gatorade, donated by customers at local grocery stores as part of  an annual campaign.

The drinks are purchased by customers and collected by Brookshire’s staff. Then, the stores distribute the donations to law enforcement agencies and fire stations in Bossier and Shreveport.

Pictured are Capt. Doug Lauter (left) and Lt. Jason Jenkins (right) of the Bossier Sheriff’s Office unloading more than 400 quart-size bottles of Gatorade Monday that were donated to the Bossier Sheriff’s Office by Brookshire’s on Barksdale Blvd. in Bossier.  Another 200 bottles were donated by the Brookshire’s in Haughton last week to the Sheriff’s Office.

The campaign will continue for the next few weeks.
