Community Foundation announces Give for Good plans

The Community Foundation of North Louisiana will once again host Give for Good.

The event begins at 12 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 and ends at 11:59 p.m.  Registration is now open for nonprofits wanting to participate and will continue through February 12. Please visit the Give for Good website (www.giveforgoodnla.org) for eligibility requirements.

The Community Foundation staff will perform due diligence to ensure all organizations are in good standing with the IRS and state entities.

During Give for Good, all dollars raised through The Community Foundation’s giving website, will be amplified with dollars from the local Lagniappe Fund, a pool of incentive dollars for participating nonprofits. The Community Foundation has committed $100,000 to the Lagniappe Fund. Businesses and individuals interested in supporting Give for Good should contact Jennifer Steadman at The Community Foundation for sponsorship information.

In 2014, Give for Good raised more than $1.2 million for 77 participating nonprofits. Last year, in 2015, more than $1.7 million was raised for 156 participating nonprofits. The Foundation expects more than 200 nonprofits to participate in 2016.

Updates about Give for Good can be found on The Foundation’s Facebook and Twitter pages. For more information contact Jennifer Steadman, steadman@cfnla.org or (318)221-0582.
