Under the lights of Freedom Fields at First Bossier, hundreds gathered on Tuesday evening, The event drew believers from Shreveport, Bossier, and surrounding communities who came together in faith, prayer, and unity.
Since Charlie Kirk’s passing, his influence has continued to bear fruit around the world. Thousands of people have come to Christ through his message of boldness, conviction, and unwavering trust in the power of the Gospel. The vigil at First Bossier served both as a tribute to his impact and a call for the community to continue carrying forward the mission of faith and truth.
Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, was widely known as a conservative leader, speaker, and radio host. At just 18 years old, he launched Turning Point, which quickly grew into one of the largest youth-based conservative movements in the country, with chapters across college and high school campuses. Beyond politics, Kirk often emphasized the importance of faith in Christ, urging young people to stand firm in biblical truth.
The vigil at Freedom Fields featured heartfelt prayers, Scripture readings, and encouragement from local pastors and leaders. Special guests included Pastor Brad Jurkovich of First Bossier, Pastor Corey Smith of Heritage Baptist, Abigail Dejarnatt, founder of Counteract USA, and Louisiana radio host Moon Griffon. Together, they led the community in lifting prayers for Kirk’s family, for revival across America, and for unity within the Church.
The evening highlighted a central message: though Charlie Kirk’s voice has been silenced on earth, his impact continues to echo in eternity. Through his work and witness, many have encountered Christ, and his legacy is stirring others to deeper faith and bold discipleship.
The vigil concluded with a collective prayer over the community and the nation, calling on believers to live courageously, share the Gospel, and walk in unity.
