The Bossier Financial Crimes Task Force is asking the public’s help in identifying two people involved in fraudulent check cashing.
Surveillance video shows a black man and black woman using worthless checks at local grocery stores in Bossier City, Benton, Bossier City, as well as Caddo, Claiborne and Desoto Parishes from Oct. 20-23. The two suspects have primarily purchased beer and cigarettes and other items with the fraudulent checks, totaling nearly $2,000. Bossier Sheriff’s Office detectives believe they are driving a red Chevrolet HHR or Chrysler PT Cruiser-type vehicle.
Anyone with information about the identity of these suspects is encouraged to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100. They can also submit a tip via the Bossier Crime Stoppers website www.bossiercrimestoppers.org. Persons who contact Crime Stoppers are reminded they may remain totally anonymous.
