In accordance with Gov. John Bel Edwards’ statewide stay-at-home order, the Bossier Parish Courthouse in Benton will be closed to the public beginning Monday at 5 p.m..
Bossier Parish Police Jury departments will continue to staff with essential personnel to ensure all necessary services to the public continue to be met. Any resident needing information concerning services should call the police jury office at 318-965-2329.

Parish agencies located inside the courthouse are continuing to provide essential services. The status of those offices and contact information follows:
- Both the Clerks of Court’s office and the Judges’ office in Bossier and Webster Parishes will be open from 9 a.m. to 1p.m. The Clerks’ office will be open during those hours to receive emergency filings such as Protective Orders, Emergency Custody Orders pursuant to Code of Procedure 3945, emergency interdictions, and matters of public health related to COVID-19. Bossier Parish Sheriff Julian Whittington (contact information 965-2203; www.bossiersheriff.com) announced changes in operations at his office. Those include the closure of Sheriff’s Office substations at Viking Drive, Arthur Ray Teague Parkway and Sheriff’s services at the courthouse including Civil, Probation and others.
Onsite video visitation services at the Bossier Corrections Facilities closed; however, off-site video visitation will still be available.
